Welcome to Camp Butterworth on beautiful Long Lake! We are absolutely thrilled that you have chosen our two lakeside cottages for your Maine getaway. To ensure a relaxing, comfortable, and safe experience for you, all of our guests, and our neighbors, we have compiled this Guest Information guide. Please take a few moments to review our simple House Rules and Rental Policies below. By booking with us, you agree to these terms, which are designed to protect the camp and maintain the high quality of your vacation. When is Check In & Check Out
Check in is at 4pm on Saturday, Check out is at 10am on Saturday. We kindly ask that you strictly adhere to these times to allow our professional cleaning team adequate time to prepare the camp.
What is the minimum stay requirement?
There is a 7-night minimum stay requirement (Saturday to Saturday)
How much is the initial deposit to book?
A 50% deposit is required to confirm your reservation. Directions for payment will be sent via email once your booking reservation request is received.
What is the cleaning fee?
A non-refundable cleaning charge of $250 is applied to the booking invoice, This is used to restore the premises to a clean and rentable condition.
Is there a Security Deposit?
Yes, a $500 refundable security and damage deposit is required
When is final payment due?
The remaining balance and the $500 dollar refundable security deposit is due 30 days prior to your arrival. Failure to pay by this date will result in cancellation and forfeiture of your initial deposit.
What is the maximum occupancy?
Occupancy is limited to a maximum of 10 persons.
Are campers or motor homes allowed?
No, campers and motor homes are not allowed.
Is smoking allowed?
Smoking is strictly prohibited inside both the Lakeside Cottage and the Pine View Cabin. Smoking outside must be done away from the buildings, and all butts must be completely extinguished and properly disposed of.
Are pets allowed?
Pets may be permitted on a case by case basis. Please reach out to inquire about bringing a pet.
How many vehicles are allowed?
Vehicle parking is limited to 4 vehicles and they must be parked on the property grounds and not blocking any neighboring driveways or shared roads
Do we need to bring our own linens?
Blankets, linens and towels are provided.
What are the departure instructions for cleaning?
Before checking out, we ask that you remove all perishable items from the refrigerators and dispose of all trash in the designated outdoor dumpster. As you check out, please lock the cottages and return your keys to the lock box.
Are there any rules for watercraft and dock use?
Guests are welcome to use the provided kayaks and paddleboards. Life jackets must be worn at all times. Children must be supervised on the dock and near the swimming area at all times. Use of the private dock is at your own risk, and the owner is not responsible for damage to or theft of personal watercraft.
